Project Manager

Aghil Yousefi-Koma was born in 1963 and received his B.Sc and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran, in 1987 and 1990 respectively. Prof. Yousefi-Koma got his PhD. in Aerospace Engineering, Carleton University, Canada, in 1997. He has over 10 years of research and industrial experience in the areas of control and dynamic systems, vibrations, smart structures and materials at National Research Council Canada (NRC), TechSpace Aero Canada (SNECMA group), and Canadian Space Agency (CSA). Later he moved to the School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran in 2005 where he is a professor and the head of Center of Advanced Systems and Technologies (CAST), at University of Tehran. His main research interests include micro aerial vehicles, micro underwater vehicles, active control systems, smart structures and materials, structural dynamics and control, robotic systems, mechatronics, and experimental mechanics.

Technical & Engineering Manager

Hesam Maleki was born in 1981 in Kerman, graduated in the field of Aviation Technology from Civil Aviation Technology College, in 2008. Through his educational experiences, he has gained the knowledge and skill required to fill his current position as Manager of Technical and engineering department in CAST, University of Tehran. He has implemented more than fifteen robotic projects as the technical and engineering manager.

As the Manager of Technical and Engineering department and Project Manager in SURENA I, SURENA II and SURENA III projects, He has been responsible for guidance, instruction, and leadership of 6 technical groups of Dynamics and Control, Electronics, Software and intelligence, Mechanical Design, Fabrication, Body Cover Design, for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results. Furthermore, he has been in charge of monitoring the quantitative and qualitative achievements that have to be gained by each group, and merging the result to meet the project specs.

Project Control Manager

Amir-Masoud Ghasemi Toudeshki received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in the area of robotics and control science from University of Tehran, Iran, in 2011, and 2014, respectively. In 2008, He had joined Center for Advanced Systems and Technologies (CAST), one of the pioneer centers in the field of control and robotics in Iran. At CAST, he had participated in variety of robotics projects like as Surena I and II humanoid robots, rehabilitation exoskeleton robot, and fish-like robot. He had taken different leadership responsibilities like as working on several industrial proposals and being project manager of intelligent fish like robot, dynamics and control team manager, project coordinator and deputy director of CAST.

All these valuable experience make him an expert to leading robotic projects and finally he had been designated as control project manager of SURENA III in 2012. He had been responsible for defining stakeholders and deliverable, and managing time, budget, risk and human recourse during the project.
