Iranian humanoid robot (SURENA III) is ready for international unveiling
SURENA III humanoid robot will show up at the 7the international Trade Fair for automation and mechatronics (AUTOMATICA 2016) June 21-24,2016 in Munich, Germany.
SURENA III which was unveiled on November 16th,2015 at the school of mechanical engineering, college of engineering, University of Tehran is going to show up at 7the international Trade Fair for automation and mechatronics (AUTOMATICA 2016) June 21-24,2016 in Munich, Germany. AUTOMATICA is an international trade fair for automation technology and robotics (especially service robots) which is attended by more than 5000 people every year.
Members of Center of Advanced Systems and Technologies (CAST), University of Tehran, will be in this Trade fair to reveal their latest achievement in robotics field, SURENA III. This organization hopes for international cooperation in developing and Commercializing SURENA robot.
Dr Aghil Youseficoma, Director of CAST and the leader of SURENA III project, believes that developing humanoid robots is like space travelling and is a symbol of technology and science. He also mentioned that there are good opportunities for developing and commercializing side-products of this project, like bio-robotic prosthesis for example, due to the great knowledge and experiment gained through the project and the good cooperation between CAST and different companies and organizations. The members of CAST will attend AUtomatica2016 to negotiate with companies working in Robotics field.
